The purpose of the position is to provide surveying services for long range exploration and completion of the feasibility study. You will report to the Exploration Manager. Duties and Responsibilities Your prime duty will be to plan, execute, and follow-up quality surveying work that is performed safely, on time and within budget. This will include: • Ensure understanding and following of company Environmental, Health, and Safety policy; • Ensuring good housekeeping in all work sites; • Planning and executing the surveying department’s long range and short term functions; • Providing surveying control using DGPS and total station techniques; • Picking up locations of boreholes and other exploration features; • Picking up elevations for contour maps; • Layout of borehole, trenches, buildings, roads, etc. • Producing contour maps using appropriate computer software; • Ensuring prevention of loss and theft of instruments, equipment, and tools. • Provision of training to subordinates Professional Requirements and Qualifications • A technologist’s degree in surveying or equivalent from a recognized university; • Five (5) years experience in land, open pit mining and/or geological exploration surveying; • Intimate knowledge of surveying techniques and appropriate computer applications. • Good leadership qualities; • Previous supervisory experience would be an asset; • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team; • Ability to work effectively in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment; • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to live and work in a remote environment; • Ability to train and mentor subordinates • Bilingualism in French and English is mandatory.

The purpose of this role is to develop and implement exploration programs and/or projects with the aim of making economic discoveries that satisfy our client’s investment criteria. Job Title and Reporting Your title will be: Exploration Geologist You will report to the Head of Exploration. This position requires a good knowledge of data management programs such as Microsoft office, as well as visual data programs, such as MapInfo and Micromine. Training will be provided before work commences. The ideal candidate will have an appreciation of ‘real world’ drilling and sampling issues and will assist in database management for both the feasibility study and for long range exploration. Duties and Responsibilities: Managing all exploration databases through: - Designing and running validation queries; -Validating current and continuous exploration data; -Uploading assay, drill hole and surface sample data; -Continually improving manipulation of current surface samples; -Improving historic drill hole and surface sample data through validation; -Providing validated data for modelling and reporting. -Producing updated maps and x-sections -Providing weekly reports of drill hole assay results and statistics. -Reconciling cost data relating to assays, transport and drilling. Purpose And Scope Of The Position The purpose of this position is to provide diamond core under the supervision of project geologists to allow interpretation of geological structures and estimation of resources. It is important that core recovery be maximised, and a drilling bonus is associated with this. 2. Job Title and Reporting Your job title is: Diamond Core Driller You will report to the Drilling Manager of the Company. All drill helpers on the rig will report to you. 3. Duties and Responsibilities Your duties and responsibilities will include the following, additional duties may be assigned from time to time as necessary: · Safe, efficient, and careful operation of a diamond core drill, ensuring safety of all personnel and minimum wear and tear of the machine. · To adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental policies of the Company. · To ensure that all drill helpers perform their duties safely and efficiently. Regular (weekly minimum) tool box talks will be held to remind drill helpers of safety around the drill rig. · To ensure that the drill site is neat and proper at all times, and that all grease, oils, waste fluids, and garbage are isolated form the environment and properly disposed of. · To perform pre-operational checks of all equipment to ensure that it can operate safely and efficiently; and to signal immediately any deficiencies for correction. · To perform normal operational lubrication, oiling and greasing of the drills. · To provide coaching and training to selected local drill helpers so that they eventually may be able to operate a drill rig. 4. Professional Requirements / Qualifications The Diamond Core Driller: · Must have 15 years + experience as a drill operator · Bilingualism in French and English is preferred. · Previous overseas experience is essential preferably in Africa or other developing nation. · Must be able to train local personnel with limited reading and writing ability.
